Following judging on Wednesday 17th February 2010

for the annual Cheltenham Civic Awards,

the following Awards and Commendations are announced.

 

 

 

Category One:     The Restoration of or an Improvement to a Building or Structure

For new performance hall attached to a restored Cheltenham villa

For new railings, stone pillars and gates

For the new railings and landscaping

Category Four: a New or Restored Shop Front

 

 

COMMENDATION            The Bank House, Clarence Street

For restoration of the facade in its historical context.

The scheme is organised by Cheltenham Civic Society and sponsored by Cheltenham Borough Council and aims to encourage and acknowledge good design and improvements to buildings and the environment within the town. Nominations for Cheltenham Civic Awards are submitted by various parties including owners, architects, contractors and members of the public and are assessed by an independent panel of ten people appointed by Cheltenham Civic Society to represent a cross section of the community.
